Royal Family News: Queen Breaks Palace Protocol And Complains Of Being ‘Exhausted’

QueenBritish royal family news shows that 95-year old Queen Elizabeth has just done the unthinkable—talk about her health in public. This goes against the palace’s strict, ‘never complain, never explain,’ mantra. It also breaches royal protocol which sees to it that the royals do not discuss their boils and bladders as freely as the general public does.

It’s totally understandable however that the queen may be feeling the need to unburden herself, to let her hair down as it were. She has been through a lot in the past few months and to hold everything in is just not healthy.

The Queen Is Divulging

Thus it has come to be that Her Majesty has revealed that having Covid, which she contracted in February, has left her, “tired and exhausted.”

She made the statement last week in a video call with NHS staff and patients. The queen said, “It does leave one very tired and exhausted, doesn’t it? This horrible pandemic. It’s not a nice result.” Truer words were never spoken. When Buckingham Palace announced that she had tested positive while at Windsor, it was said that she had, “mild cold-like symptoms.” Days before she had been in contact with her eldest son and heir, Prince Charles, who tested positive right before she did.

The Queen Is Being Frank

That week she had her weekly audience with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, but she did not appear on video calls due to sounding “croaky” and “full of cold,” according to sources who talked to the Daily Mail. Then a cancellation was made for her annual Commonwealth Day service appearance, “albeit more due to mobility problems.”

The Queen is said to be triple-jabbed and likely to be, suffering from after-effects including extreme exhaustion.”

Last autumn she was hospitalized for an undisclosed ailment and did not hold an event outside of the palace for six months.

Royal Family News: The Queen Is Talking About Her Health

She was able to attend a very personal royal event at the end of March, the memorial for her late husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Going forward, The Express lists four events considered as priorities for the Queen to attend in-person: the opening of Parliament in May, the Derby at Epsom, the Trooping of the Colour in June and a special service at St Paul’s Cathedral that same month to mark her Platinum Jubilee.
