Royal Family News: Queen Camilla Fears Kate Middleton Will Show Her Up On Coronation Day

British royal family news shows that King Charles and his wife Queen Camilla will have their official coronation ceremony on May 6, 2023. The grand events will be held at London’s Westminster Abbey, and it’s fair to say that both husband and wife have waited with bated breath for this day for many, many years.

At one point Camilla was not a shoo-in to become queen. She is Charles’ second wife and although they have been married for 17 years, she was once publicly humiliated as a home wreaker.

Charles is now 73 and has prepped his entire life for this moment, one which Buckingham Palace describes as a coronation which, “will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future while also being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.”

Camilla will have her time in the sun, but RadarOnline.com reveals that a royal insider spills that she is afraid of being outdone by Charles’ son and heir, William, Prince of Wales, and his wife, Princess Kate. The younger couple is more popular and reportedly trying to put their stamp on the event.

The insider spilled, “William and Kate have been tasked with convincing Charles to update and modernize the coronation to make it more contemporary. While it’s a sacred day, they want to make it more exciting and less somber.” Charles also wants to economize the whole shebang by inviting thousands fewer than normal and cutting costs in a sort of Blue Light Special-way.

The last coronation was for King Charles’ late mother, Queen Elizabeth. In 1953 she began her 70-year reign which ended with his death on September 8.

The queen was enormously popular and the source dished, “William and Kate’s popularity is at an all-time high. The public is far more interested in seeing William and Kate and the children.”

Apparently this reality has not escaped Camilla. The source added, “She feels slighted that more attention is paid to Kate. She fears Kate will steal her thunder.”

Royal Family News – Camilla Is Tolerated

The outlet also reported that there were hard feelings for Camilla as, “Rumor has it that the late monarch made changes to her will before her death, leaving her pricey jewelry collection — set to be worth a whopping $110 million — to Kate and not Camilla.”

Another source revealed that Camilla is secretly jealous of Kate’s warm bond with the queen: “She’d never say it, of course, but it’s one of the reasons Camilla resented Kate.”
