His mother Queen Elizabeth died September 8, resulting in Charles ascending the throne. As King he will make hundreds of decisions in due time, but one reported choice is setting off alarm bells for loyal fans of Her Majesty.
Royal Family News: Will King Charles Sell Off Precious Horses?
According to some royal experts, Charles plans to sell off the horses that he inherited from his mother. He has inherited many things, including the right to further her agenda. So why does he want to get rid of one of her most precious possessions?
The Queen doted on her many animals including her corgis and horses. The corgi dogs are now living with her son Prince Andrew and his ex wife Sarah Ferguson. So what will become of the horses?
The auction house Tattersalls has indicated that over a dozen of the queen’s horses will be auctioned off soon. To be precise, 14 horses that belonged to Queen Elizabeth will be sent to the highest bidder—and this is unsettling news for many.
Royal Family News: Will King Charles Get Rid Of Infamous Horses?
Spokesman Jimmy George issued an official statement on behalf of the auction: “It’s nothing out of the ordinary. Every year they would sell horses. The Queen had brood mares of her own, she would breed them and sell them. You can’t keep them all. Every year owners sell stock. His Majesty is just doing what owners do.”
Despite the clarification, legions of loyalists do not think that the queen’s precious animals should be sold off due to the, “perception that the horses had a sentimental value.”
According to the Overtimer, “Therefore, in order to honour the former monarch, keeping them could have been seen as a way to remember her. Secondly, since the horses were clearly settled, removing them to a new environment may not prove fruitful.”
Royal Family News: Should Charles Keep Elizabeth’s Equines?
Fans on social media have questioned why the horses can’t be kept within the family as is the case with the corgis. Emotions are running high as one post shows: “GOD FORBID YOU FROM SELLING THE QUEENS HORSES. HORSES REMAIN THE PROPERTY OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II, AND ALL THAT IS HERS ALONG WITH THEM!.”
Oh my. With such strong sentiment running rampant, should Charles change his mind? Tell us what you think royal fans!

No I don’t think king Charles should sell the horses that the the Queen left for him. They were very special to her and she was expecting her son the king to take care of them so that they would never be sold and to stay where they are at. Those are her prize horses if
The King is, and needs to downsize. It makes sense. The horses will adapt. Maybe if not sold they could be neglected, however not intentionally. That would be sad. As for Harry, this young man is hurting. Wake up family. Come together and get him help. Let him know you love him and want to help. He is lashing out. He carries some heavy baggage. That baggage is in his face every time he sees his dad with the queen consort ( who should be his mom). It’s not rocket science. I pray for Harry’s mental health.
