British royal family news divulges that speculation regarding Queen Elizabeth’s supposed abdication has been ramping up in light of the coronavirus pandemic. No one saw this life altering event coming and it has affected her family very personally with both Prince Charles and Prince William contracting the virus.

With her own mandatory isolation for the past months, and her advanced age, many are speculating that she will simply hand over the reins to Charles and let him lead rather than hanging on for dear life.
Not so fast says one royal watcher, the queen will never abdicate, it’s just not in her blood.

People Are Talking About How The Queen Could Soon Quit With Many Expecting Prince Charles To Take Over

According to royal expert Clive Irving it is highly unlikely for Her Majesty to give up the throne. He told Express, “People seem to think that when the Queen reaches the age of 95 next year she will invoke the Regency Act and make Charles Prince Regent, and so he can govern as such.”

“I don’t think she is minded to do that at all, she is incredibly fit and robust for her age. She is physically independent, she doesn’t even need a stick to walk, she needs no support – she was out riding on a horse recently. How many 94-year-old women can do that?” he said.

Queen Elizabeth Is In Good Health And There Is No Reason For Her To Abdicate

He added, “She has got enormous stamina and she has made it very clear – she wants to do the job until she feels she can’t go on doing it. And she can very much keep on doing it.”

He thinks that being in isolation has only made her more determined to rule. “I think she has been very frustrated by living in the bubble, there are lots of things that she would normally be doing like investitures and meeting people at the palace that she can’t do,” he continued.

“I think once the bubble is lifted she will be right out there again doing all of that,” he added.

Some royal watchers would love to see Prince William instead of Charles be given the throne outright. Would the queen do that? There is no indication that she will do such a thing, nor that William would accept or that Charles would agree with the decision–He has waited seven decades to rule after all.
