Royal Family News – Queen Elizabeth Is In Fine Fettle

The release of the biography of the Prince of Wales, Charles At Seventy, by Robert Jobson in fall 2018 led to speculation that Queen Elizabeth intended to step down and make way for Prince Charles to become king.

In the book he wrote, it was likely the Queen turning 95 would, “trigger a period of regency,” and she would grant her eldest son the, “full power to reign.” A regent is a person appointed to rule because the monarch is unable. Of course, that was before 2020 tested and proved her mettle.

It's a double edged sword, some people don't even want him in the position.

Why not? I don’t know anything on the subject.

Prince Charles should not be King. For the way he treated Princess Diana. I believe that position should go straight to Prince William and Kate. They would make the perfect King and Queen. The are young and vibrant and knows what the monarchy needs and the how to to keep it going for many years to come.

All the Kings and Queens throughout history seemed to not want to step down, maybe it because of a promise of lifelong service to God and country. The Queen isn't senile so as long as she feels up to it, after all these years of service she is entitled to that. I do believe Monarch's, Prime Ministers, Presidents should all be made to step down if they demonstrate dementia or mental disorders because globally it's not safe to have incompetent or sick people doing such a responsible job, the people's safety depends upon their decisions.

I agree with u. Prince Charles treated Dianna like garbage and he doesn't deserve to be king. He ran around with skanky Camilla the entire time that they were married. You would have thought that he would have been pleased that Dianna was as popular as she was and instead he was jealous. He treated her horribly and noone in the royal family lifted a finger to help her out. William and Kate would do a much better job.
