Royal Family News: Queen Elizabeth’s Granddaughter Zara Tindall Is Expecting Her Third Child

British Royal family news reveals that there is wonderful news to announce as Mike Tindall has shared that his wife Zara Tindall, Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter, is pregnant with their third child.

The couple are parents to Mia Grace, six, and Lena Elizabeth, two. The family lives at Princess Anne’s Gatcombe Estate in Gloucester.

The former England Rugby star spilled the fantastic news on the podcast he co-hosts, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby.

The queen can anticipate a new little addition to her royal family

Mike told his hosts Alex Payne and James Haskell, “It’s been a good week for me, had a little scan last week – third Tindall on its way.”

“I’d like a boy this time, I’ve got two girls, I would like a boy. I’ll love it whether a boy or a girl – but please be a boy.”

In the past, the couple’s pregnancies have been formally announced by Buckingham Palace

Mike went on to say that the couple are thinking of names already. Since the baby was conceived during the pandemic, will that factor into it? He joked, “We’re not sure what to do, Covi or Covina – I don’t know where to go with names.”

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson has commented on the news saying, “Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh are aware and delighted.”

The Queen and Prince Philip have eight great-grandchildren. Zara’s baby is the second due as Zara’s cousin Princess Eugenie is expecting her first child in early 2021. It has been speculated that Zara is likely around 12 weeks pregnant based on the usual timing of a scan, which means she’s likely due to give birth around June.

The UK oddsmakers have gotten in the royal baby game

Already the oddsmakers in Britain have gotten in on the baby game with Bookmaker Coral putting up odds on names. Edward is the favorite name if the baby is a boy, with odds at 3-1. If the baby is a girl, Alice takes the top spot at 4-1, with the name Lily (5-1) next, then Stephen and Michael (both 8-1). Philip is 20-1, Mark 33-1, and Anne 50-1.

The head of Coral’s, Henry Aitkenhead, stated, “We make a boy’s name the favorite for Zara and Mike’s third child, with Edward the 3-1 leader in our latest Royal baby name betting market.” It looks like the royal family will soon have a bumper crop of babies to coo over!
