The Queen is believed to have stayed home at nearby Windsor Castle. It has been a trying holiday season for the monarch who has encountered a series of medical issues which caused her to cancel several key events. At one point she spent a night in the hospital although the reason for that has not been divulged.
Royal Family News – The Queen Was Missing From Church
Prince Charles and Camilla were in attendance this morning. They looked happy as they walked to the beautiful church. The royal family has kept the church busy in recent years, as it hosted three royal weddings between May 2018 and May 2019.
Camilla looked especially cheerful as she wore a gorgeous blue outfit which she accessorized with matching hat and black gloves, boots and handbag.

Prince Charles also looked quite handsome as he made his way to the service. He wore a dark blue coat and a baby blue tie and his outfit matched his wife’s perfectly. The future King and Queen Consort were joined by four other royals at the church.
Royal Family News – Who Went To The Church Service Today?
In addition to Charles and Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Queen’s first cousins, were present and they also walked to the chapel.
The Wessexes were in attendance but they were driven to the church instead of walking as the others opted to do.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex, looked smashing in a dark coat matched with a leopard-print hat and clutch. Her husband Prince Edward was by her side and they brought their children Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn.
Royal Family News – This Year Is Different For The Royals
This year’s activities for the royals has been different than in years past. Traditionally the family gathers at the queen’s Sandringham estate for Christmas Eve and Day. Instead, the queen remained at Windsor Castle. The reason for this was her desire to lead by example as coronavirus cases rise in the nation and government officials urge people to be safe at home.
This marks the second consecutive year the monarch is remaining at Windsor Castle for Christmas.
