British royal family news reveals that Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, threw down their tiaras in 2020 in a nasty spat termed Megxit. Much was lost when the Markles miscalculated their popularity and went to America to reign as Hollywood royalty.

These days any VIP presence in their lives has fled the toxicity that came to a crowning head with an ugly Oprah Winfrey interview in 2021. The venom they spewed then toward his family and the monarchy was astounding and their “brand” has never taken flight.

Royal watcher Robert Lacey thinks that Harry has also lost a brother as part of his temper tantrum lifestyle. According to the Daily Mail, “To this day, he cannot forgive Harry, not least because of the consequences for his wife, Kate, and for their children.”

In the nasty interview, Meghan referred to Kate with a bullying name twice. What happened to her mantra, “Be Kind!?”

Lacey remarked, “We know that William and Kate want to bring up their children in relative seclusion and privacy, but the children have had to become a prominent part of the show.”

Future King William and Queen Catherine have the burden and the blessing to prop up the monarchy when that times comes, without Harry who William reportedly thought would be his “wingman.”

The late Lady Elizabeth Anson is quoted as saying, “I don’t think the Queen ever truly understood Harry’s decision to leave. Turning one’s back on duty is completely alien to the Queen and she has been very hurt by it all. William was angry. Charles was distraught. But Harry wasn’t prepared to back down over Meghan.”

In particular the queen was puzzled by divorcee Meghan’s decision to wear a wedding dress the color of the pure wind driven snow. According to the outlet, “the Queen had reservations about the pure white of Meghan’s Givenchy dress, designed by Clare Waight Keller.”

Nonetheless, “the Queen did her best to get to know the new Duchess.”
