Queen ElizabethBritish royal family news shows that Harry and Meghan were snubbed on Friday when Queen Elizabeth announced to the world that they are banned from appearing on the balcony for the Platinum Jubilee in June. Royal Family News – Would Harry And Meghan Refuse The Queen?

One royal author thinks that Queen Elizabeth may be perfectly content to meet her great-granddaughter, Lilibet, after she is grown up and, “has a personality.”

Ian Lloyd wrote the just published tome, The Queen: 70 Chapters in the life of Elizabeth II. The 70 years refers to her Platinum Jubilee, an event that celebrates seven decades overseeing the UK. The Jubilee kicks off this June and it has already attracted a lot of attention just based on the actions of Meghan and Harry. Will Meghan and Harry crash the party? Or will they hold out the lure of a visit with Lilibet to get the queen to change her mind?

Royal Family News – Will Harry Bait The Queen?

It may not come to that according to Ian. According to him, the queen prefers to spend time with her family members when they are a bit older than Lili is now. He said, “clearly, like every other grandmother or great grandmother, she would want to see them,” but that she would rather interact with others, “once they have a personality.”

He told Express.co.uk of the queen: “She likes the children, I think, when they’ve got an identity.”

Royal Family News – Will The Queen Meet Lili?

A spokesperson for the couple stated on Friday that Harry and Meghan will definitely be at the Jubilee, balcony or no balcony. The source said that they would be bringing their children, Archie and Lilibet, to honor the Queen’s reign. “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited and honored to attend The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children,” said the spin doc.

If so it will be the first time Queen Elizabeth meets 11-month-old Lilibet Diana. The child was born on June 4, which puts her birthday square in the middle of the Jubilee celebrations. Her parents claim that she is named after the queen and Her Majesty has not seen their son Archie since 2020.

Following her birth, Harry and Meghan said in a statement, “Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.” To date it appears that meeting Lili will be the longest the queen has gone without meeting one of her 12 great-grandkids.
