Royal Family News: Reason Prince Harry’s Spare Compared To JK Rowling’s Final Harry Potter Book

British royal family news notes that Prince Harry’s book is on the same level as the famed Harry Potter book series in one significant way (not writing). The security around the memoir, set to drop January 10, is said to be extraordinarily strong. Insiders now claim that as the drop date of the torrid page turner nears, “the ultra-secure arrangements echo those of the final instalment of the Harry Potter series 16 years ago.”

Is Harry’s little tell-all as important as a best selling series that inspired and entertained a generation? Don’t make us laugh. Harry’s drivel is destined for the bargain bin with stores already advertising the tome as 50% off. But, in an era when hype equals tripe, traitors like Harry are big bucks.

Royal Family News – Harry’s Memoir Release

When the Potter book was about to drop, “publishers spent millions of pounds trying to stop the plotline being leaked before it went on sale in bookshops. This week, an enormous logistics operation is under way around Prince Harry’s bombshell biography Spare,” according to the Daily Mail. Which is amusing if not ludicrous because we all know the “plotline” of Harry’s life: wah-wah, wash, rinse, repeat.

Nonetheless Penguin Random House is allegedly busting a gut to keep the “details” of Harry’s ghostwritten scorcher under wraps until next Tuesday.

The e-book edition of Spare, published in 16 languages including Chinese, Finnish, Hungarian, and Spanish, can be downloaded on Kindle and the hardback/doorstop in bookstores on Tuesday morning.

Royal Family News – Tuesday Is Harry’s Due Date

In line with the ultra-stealthy protection being according to Harry’s book, “Deliveries to bookshops are being scheduled to be last-minute to avoid unauthorised copies being leaked. Guarded sites across the world have been secured to house copies of the book prior to distribution.”

All of this covert scrambling is reminiscent of the furtiveness surrounding the 2007 release of JK Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final novel in the series.

At that time, “An army of guards, satellite tracking systems and legal contracts were all deployed to protect the 10 million first copies of the new Harry Potter book … the finished manuscript was taken by hand from London to New York, a lawyer for the American publisher sat on it during the flight.” Additionally, “When copies were sent out to retailers, lorries were fitted with satellite tracking systems which would reveal if any of the vehicles deviated from their intended routes.”

Sadly, Harry’s security plot is more fascinating than anything he himself could possibly say in his pulpy piece of non-fiction.
