Royal Family News – King Charles Will Now Reign

According to the Daily Mail, “The Royal Family stood at the end of the short service as the Queen was slowly lowered down into the royal vault while the Dean of Windsor said: ‘Go forth upon thy journey from this world, O Christian soul.’”

The severing of the Queen from her service in death, was signaled when, “the Dean had placed her crown and other crown jewels on the altar before the Queen’s staff was snapped.”

Royal Family News – The Queen Is Dead

Queen Elizabeth was the country’s longest reigning monarch and celebrated her Platinum Jubilee this June. She reigned for 70 years and now her eldest son and heir Charles III will take on her royal duties.

The Queen sat alone in St. George’s last year for the funeral of her “stay” Prince Philip. She cut a solemn and solitary figure, sitting alone due to Covid requirements.

Today the procession was led into the chapel by members, “of the Queen’s royal household and the coffin was taken along the centre aisle of the nave to the catafalque in the Quire. Princess Charlotte sat between the Duke of Sussex and her mother the Princess of Wales on the front bench on one side of St George’s Chapel. The Prince of Wales sat on the end of the row next to his son Prince George, followed by the Princess of Wales, Princess Charlotte, and then Harry and his wife the Duchess of Sussex.”

Royal Family News – The End Is Here

One of the most striking moments was witnessed when, “the colour was then accompanied by the Lord Chamberlain’s Wand of Office, which he symbolically broke. The purpose of breaking the wand is to create a symmetry with the three Instruments of State that had been removed from the coffin.”

He broke it in front of the casket, with Charles watching, and now the weight of history lays upon his shoulders as it did for his beloved mother before him.
