According to the latest trailer of the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan, Meghan’s lawyer Jenny Afia claims that there was a war against the Duchess of Sussex involving the palace and the British media.

That’s because the royal family would often plant negative stories about Meghan whenever one of their own were being reported on. “There was a real, kind of war against Meghan, and I’ve certainly seen evidence that there was negative briefing from the palace against Harry and Meghan to suit other people’s agendas,” Afia alleges in the trailer.

The Daily Mail editor Dan Wootton, who often has something negative to say about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on a daily basis, took to his Twitter account to write, “Most disgraceful propaganda yet from Netflix, Harry and Meghan. They claim the negative stories on Meghan were leaked by Palace in a smear campaign. Er, NOPE. Her bullying and behavior was so bad and widespread that reporters like me found out about it!”

He also added, “Oh, they also compare some negative press to war. Completely disrespectful of those who know what a war is. Shameless, disgraceful, yet totally predictable.”

Needless to say, there were a lot of his followers that sure had a lot to say about the matter. Some comments included, “Time for the press to reveal all, good or bad. There needs to be an end to this misinformation campaign,” along with, “Also if Palace ‘planted’ stories about M, why didn’t they release the bullying report? That would have really damaged her, it was almost like ‘they’ were protecting her?”

Another critic wrote, “Something had to deflect from what her Majesty’s son Andrew had got up to n eventually cost his family £12m, she was the scapegoat, funny how u all go after the girl with coloured skin but not the Paedo in the Royal family, one of many.”
