Royal Family News: Royals Rejoice, Prince Andrew Forced To Skip Platinum Jubilee

British royal family news reveals that Buckingham Palace has announced that shamed Prince Andrew has tested positive for Covid-19 forcing him to withdraw from the Queen’s Friday service at St. Paul’s Cathedral. The service is the center point of Friday’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and Andrew had been banned from appearing with the queen today as she watched Trooping the Colour from the palace balcony.

What does this mean for the Duke of York going forward? The contentious figure will likely not be seen in public for the duration of the four-day bank holiday. It’s been reported that he has seen his mother within the last several days with claims that he visits her every day in a bid to restore his public royal standing.

In February Prince Andrew paid a sex assault accuser millions of dollars in an out of court settlement and prior to that the queen stripped him of his titles and patronages.

Royal Family News – Will The Duke Of York Be Seen During The Jubilee?

Thus far the queen has tested negative for Covid, after being diagnosed with the condition earlier this year. Andrew reportedly has not seen Her Majesty since testing positive. Despite him no longer being a working member of the family, Andrew was expected to join the rest of his family tomorrow at the Service of Thanksgiving in London.

The Buckingham Palace statement read: “After undertaking a routine test The Duke has tested positive for Covid and with regret will no longer be attending tomorrow’s service.”

Andrew was not on the Buckingham Palace balcony today for the fly past, after being banned along with fame hogs Harry and Meghan, Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Royal Family News – Andrew Has Tested Positive For Covid

Disgraced Andrew was not allowed at today’s celebrations even in a private capacity, showing just how far the Queen’s son has fallen from grace—even Harry and Meghan were allowed to be photographed celebrating the parade, albeit in what looked to be the outdoor equivalent of the kid’s table.

Andrew was forced to retreat from public life after a furor over his friendship with dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. This year he paid millions to settle a sexual assault case brought by a woman who claims she was a sex trafficking victim of Epstein, a woman Andrew claimed to have no recollection of despite a picture of him grinning with his arm around her bare waist being widely circulated.
