British royal family news shows that Sarah Ferguson divorced Prince Andrew years ago but they remain live-in ex-spouses. She clearly has not grown unfond of him and now she suggests the world needs to go easy on the man accused of sexual assault.
According to Sarah, Andrew deserves the right to “rebuild” his life without media intrusion.
She told Good Morning Britain about her relationship with Andrew, whose affiliation with dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein rocked his world. One of Epstein’s former sex trafficking victims brought a lawsuit against Andrew, a case he chose to settle out of court for millions of dollars. He has denied any wrongdoing.
Royal Family News – Andrew Is Defended By Sarah
Ferguson said in the TV appearance “I told him the other day that he should definitely talk more to the Pilgrim Bandits who’s this extraordinary group of veterans, SAS veterans, that are amputees or that have been through really, really difficult times.”
Why? Because she thinks “it’s very important” that people “focus on what you do to bring others a bit of joy that are in less fortunate positions than yourself.”

She went on to defend her former husband with whom she shares two daughters by saying, “With Prince Andrew, he’s such a good man. He’s a kind, good man, and I think the spotlight needs to come off of him and let him get on with his life to rebuild.”
For extra emphasis she add, “He’s a very good grandfather.”
Royal Family News – Andrew Subject To Sex Assault Case
Not everyone agrees with Sarah that the man nicknamed “Randy Andy” is goodness personified. In January 2022, a US judge rejected Andrew’s attempt to have Virginia Giuffre’s sexual assault lawsuit against him dismissed. It was then announced by Buckingham Palace that Queen Elizabeth stripped her son of his military titles and patronages and he was no longer allowed to represent her as a working royal. In February Andrew allegedly offered Giuffre millions in an out of court settlement and she took the money.
Since then Prince Andrew has been in the shadows of the monarchy, besmirched beyond rehabilitation. But he will attend his older brother King Charles’ coronation on May 6 at Westminster Abbey. Perhaps it’s because Fergie had plenty of her own scandals bring disgrace to the monarchy back in the day? Still, the vibrant redhead was not bitter at the exclusion saying, “It’s a state occasion and being divorced, I don’t think you can have it both ways. Just because I’m not there on the state occasion, in private I can be there, and that’s a lovely feeling to be part of the family.”
