If this is true, taxpayer money was used to alert Harry in the middle of the night that his grandfather Prince Philip died it was claimed today.
Reportedly embassy officials were not able to get him on the phone and so they sent the Sheriff to his house on April 9.

According to TMZ, police had to go to Harry’s home and speak to someone who then told him to call the US Embassy, a call in which he learned of Philip’s death.
But sources have told MailOnline today that neither the US Embassy in London nor the UK Embassy in Washington DC would have responded in such a way, calling law enforcement to follow up for them.
As of this moment, there has been no official statement on the claims from either embassy or Buckingham Palace staff. But if the report from TMZ is true, it makes one wonder how in touch Harry is with his family.

Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh’s death was announced by Buckingham Palace in a statement at 12 pm UK time. That would have been 4 am in California where Harry fled after abandoning the royal family.
Harry later paid tribute to Philip as, “master of the barbecue, a legend of banter, and cheeky right till the end.”
In addition, he called him, “a man of service, honor and great humor … I know that right now he would say to all of us, beer in hand, ‘Oh do get on with it.’” Philip died in April at Windsor Castle.

Harry took over Philip’s role as Captain-General of the Royal Marines but had to be stripped of the role when he announced he could not and would not tolerate royal life any longer. He wanted “financial freedom” and has not looked back since relocating to America where he regularly trashes his family.
Philip and Harry did official engagements together and both Harry and his brother William enjoyed childhood summers with barbecues cooked by Philip at Balmoral, as well as shooting, hunting, and fishing on the Aberdeenshire estate.
