British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle, Duke of Sussex stands accused of refusing offers of help from Sophie, Countess of Wessex, after verbalizing her discontent as a royal. Could it be that Meghan Markle’s claims of non-assistance from the royals is bogus?

Meghan Markle Says No One Helped Her

Meghan and Harry have nattered on and on about how nasty and neglectful the royal family were to them, many of their complaints proven to be false. Despite their sordid hobby of muddying the family and the monarchy with their grievances, Harry’s return in April for Prince Philip’s funeral held high hopes of a reconciliation.

It was reported that Sophie and her husband Prince Edward as well as Princess Anne did not throw out the welcome mat for the man who called the lot of them insufficient to his idea of what family should be like.
But the Countess told The Telegraph that she had “lengthy” talks with her nephew at Windsor Castle. Who should we believe, Hollywood Harry or the queen’s reported favorite daughter-in-law? One of them has thrown the family under the bus repeatedly, one has not. Hard choice.

Shouldn’t Harry Have Helped Meghan?

This news comes after reports that Sophie reached out to the mouthy couple in the past. Reports indicate that Sophie’s also made a great effort to help Meghan going years back. When Meghan said on an ITV interview that no one cared about her, her words were headline fodder. But royal watcher Rebecca English tweeted: “I have been told that Kate — and the Countess of Wessex — both repeatedly ‘reached out’ to the Duchess [of Sussex] particularly after she voiced her unhappiness on a television documentary.”

“But they were both rebuffed,” she added.

Who Should One Believe In The War Of Words In The Royal Family?

Of course it’s a case of she said versus she said. But it has been said that Sophie was chosen as the unofficial mentor to Meghan when she married Harry in 2018.

Royal watcher Katie Nicholl claimed: “According to sources, the Queen has earmarked Sophie as a royal mentor for Meghan. The two spent time together at Royal Ascot last year and are understood to get along well. The pair share similar backgrounds, as Sophie, like Meghan, gave up a successful career (in PR) to marry into the Royal Family so is in a position to help Meghan.”

If true, Meghan chose to ignore a valuable source of help and support and we all know how that turned out.
