Earl And Countess Help Celebrate Special Occasion
A Wessex spokesperson captioned the post, writing, “Thank you for the lovely Lancashire welcome for The Earl and Countess of Wessex!
“Their Royal Highnesses joined members of the local community in Preston as they celebrated 20 years since being granted city status to mark The Queen’s Golden Jubilee – planting a tree to mark the occasion.
“At the historic Lancaster Castle, The Earl and Countess toured some of the areas which have recently been refurbished, while also having a go at some traditional skills that are still being used at the Castle.”
Wessex Outing
The 57-year-old countess and her husband the earl, 58 began their outing in Preston joining other members of the local community to celebrate 20 years since the city was granted city status. That moment, 20 years ago, was also during the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Year, and they marked that occasion by planting a tree.
Next, the royal couple reportedly visited the historic Lancaster Castle touring some of the recently refurbished areas and trying out some of the traditional skills still used at the Castle. Be sure to keep up with the royals and return here often for more Royal Family news and updates.
