Royal Family News – Prince Harry Got The Queen a Silly Gift
The story was told by Diana’s former royal butler, Paul Burrell, to The Mirror. According to him, “She’d spend hours looking for jokey things for their stockings. One year, Harry got fake dog poo.”
As a typical young boy would be, Harry loved the gag gift. Then he took it a step further, presumably surprising his grandmother with it when she least expected it. Lore has it that Queen Elizabeth and her family enjoy exchanging gag gifts for Christmas. After all, what do you get someone who has everything?
For example, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge is said to have gifted Harry, a ‘Grow Your Own Girlfriend’ kit–before he started dating Meghan Markle.
Royal Family News – The Royal Family Likes Gag Gifts
It’s been reported that once upon a time Harry gifted the queen a shower cap with the phrase, ‘Ain’t life a [expletive],’ and that William had the cheek to gift his grandmother with a pair of slippers with her own face emblazoned on them—one of the perks of being the queen.
Earlier this year Harry was cavorting around a locked down LA with his UK buddy James Corden for a segment on his show. They were on the top of a sightseeing bus sipping tea from porcelain cups and at one point the bus lurched, leaving Harry drenched. He looked around as if a butler would appear at any moment and wipe him off, such is the pampering he enjoys. But apparently he does spend time in the kitchen, courtesy of his grandmother. During the interview he spilled about a present the queen gave his son with Meghan Markle.
Royal Family News – Harry Leads A Pampered Existence
Hollywood Harry said, “Interesting – my grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas, and Meg said a waffle maker. She sent a waffle maker for Archie.”
Harry proceeded to spill the tea saying that Meg makes a, “beautiful organic mixture,” for the waffles and the tyke devours it. “Archie wakes up in the morning and goes ‘waffle.'” Fun.
