British royal family news divulges that in the wake of her Spotify disaster Meghan Markle signed on with one of the world’s most influence talent agencies, WME. What about Harry? What about him—he was left in the dust, completely left out of his wife’s deal to be famous.
Pundits are having a field day with this striking development, the thought of “The Claw” going solo in the US seemingly without a care in the world about Harry’s future or fortune, a mere five years after their UK wedding.
With this renegade move, is the former basic cable actress simply branching out, or is she putting her husband out to pasture? Let’s dissect the situation royal fans.
Royal Family News: Has Meghan Ditched Harry?
Not everyone thinks it is a wise move for the Duchess of Sussex to forged ahead professionally, leaving Harry in her rear view. Can her “brand” survive without Prince Harry’s royal presence?
Not according to one insider who told Closer that Meghan was told point blank that without Harry by her side, her career has “no future.” She didn’t listen.
Meghan’s team is “actively pushing her to create her own platform” but pundit Esther Krakue told Sky News Australia that this rash decision could be the nail in her career coffin: “I don’t think there’s any benefit, in terms of star power or financial gain, for Meghan to not be with Harry.”
Royal Family News: Is Meghan Viable Without Harry?
Following 2020’s Megxit exit, the future looked bright for Meghan and Harry. Spotify and Netflix rushed to sign them up, sight unseen, with zero production experience between them. How did that work out? Last month Spotify dropped the work-shy pair, calling them “f****** grifters,” and many believe Netflix will do the same.
According to the outlet, “their now-failed Spotify pact foreshadowed Meghan’s solo efforts.” That’s because both Meghan and Harry were signed to a reported $20 million deal with Spotify, but in three years it was Meghan doing the heavy lifting, releasing just 13 “Archetypes” podcasts.
Royal Family News: Meghan Goes It Alone
Don’t feel too bad for Harry though, it is rumored that his Netflix project, Heart of Invictus, will debut this summer. But if the past is any indication, no one should be holding their breath that Harry comes through on his word.
His bio, Spare, was late, he didn’t show up to produce Spotify content, and he seems more interested in playing polo than playing hardball. Tell us royal fans, is ditching Harry professionally the smartest or dumbest thing Meghan can do career-wise?
