British Royal family news reveals that Britain’s Queen Elizabeth forks out almost as much in Christmas gifts as some people make in a year. Would you believe that Her Majesty drops $40,000 (£30,000) on those on her holiday list? According to the Sun, there are a whopping 620 people on her gift list so with that in mind the figures seem a tad more reasonable–maybe?
Can you Even Imagine Licking Over 600 Christmas Card Envelopes Every Year?
So what does the queen gift to those who make her list? How about, “a book token, or a small piece of china from the palace gift shop?” On top of that she nearly always presents her favorite peeps with, “a small Christmas pudding in a box as well.”
Queen Elizabeth Has A Nice List For Christmas But Does She Also Have A Naughty List As Well?
As the end of 2020 fast approaches, one wonders who wraps all of the monarch’s gifts? Do they have to get started in September?
And when does Her Majesty begin to buy all of these presents, or is it a year-round endeavor?

And does she use UPS or Amazon? It turns out neither and the gifting process is keeping in line with the royals’ notorious appetite for formality. According to the source, the Deputy Master of the Household chooses a time and place to direct the palace staff to assemble in one of Buckingham Palace’s many grand staterooms.
The insider spills, “Here they line up to receive a wrapped gift from the Queen, and she says a few words to each of them— usually something like, ‘Thank you so much for all your help during the year,’ followed by ‘Happy Christmas.'” I wonder if there’s pizza and a Secret Santa too?
What Does It Take To Be Special Enough To Get A Gift From The Queen?
Heaven forbid, what if an employee is out sick or taking a mental health day? Wouldn’t you know it, the queen has thought of everything! If someone cannot wait his turn in the royal receiving line there is a Plan B.
The source dished, “If the staff are not able to be there on the specified days—they may be a ghillie working at Balmoral for example—the Household makes sure they are sent to them, along with a card from HM.” Nice!
