Royal Family News – The Queen Must Be Flexible
It was just announced that she regretfully made the decision to scrap her family Christmas Lunch, a yearly tradition for dozens of family members. Due to soaring Covid cases, the decision was made to avoid exposing anyone to the virus and thus potentially ruining their Christmas plans.
Sources told the Daily Mail that now, “all plans were under consideration,” and this includes next week’s foray to Sandringham for the family’s traditional Christmas party.
What does this mean for the 95-yold monarch? If her Sandringham plans are cancelled it could be a lonely holiday for her indeed.
Will the Queen Be Alone For Christmas?
The Monarch will spend her first Christmas this year without her husband of 73 years, Prince Philip. He died in April at the age of 99. Yet it is thought that William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will not change up their own plans. This means they could travel to their Norfolk home leaving them far away from the Queen.
When will the family know if all systems are go? It’s been reported that the final decision will be made early next week. The decision will hinge on the government’s updated advice which necessarily changes according to the number of infections plaguing the nation.
Royal Family News – The Queen Follows Government Advice
A royal source said, “Her Majesty always leads by example, regardless of her personal preferences,” which could be a clue that she is ready to bite the bullet and forego visiting with her family in order to set the proper tone for the rest of the nation.
But, if the Government does not restrict social mixing, the Queen will not be alone. That’s because Charles and Camilla, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, plan to join her on Christmas Eve along with the Duke of York, Princess Anne and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

This is so sad. I am not from the UK, but respect your Queen.
I live in the US and she has been the Queen all my life.
It saddens me she cannot have her family around her during the Holiday Season.
And quite off topic, but isn't Princess Beatrices' Stepson "Bi-Racial"?????
