British royal family news reveals that the world’s longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth, will mark 70 years on the throne in 2022. That calls for a celebration and the monarchy has just the ticket—a Platinum Jubilee!
On June 2, 2022, Her Majesty will have served 70 years for her country and in line with this tremendous milestone, Buckingham Palace has announced a spate of festivities fit for a queen.
According to People magazine, the celebrations will be held from June 2 until June 5 and include an extended bank holiday.
The Queen Celebrates 70 Years of Service
Other events include Trooping the Colour, a service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Cathedral, and the Derby at Epsom Downs. Plus, a live concert called “Platinum Party at the Palace” is planned along with the Big Jubilee Lunch and the Platinum Jubilee Pageant.
In 2012 the queen commemorated the Diamond Jubilee and her family was all in attendance, happy as can be. Fast forward a decade and that’s not the case—the happy part anyway.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan have made it their life’s mission to disparage his family and friends in high places, e.g. Oprah Winfrey, the world has been blasted with their hot air non-stop. This brings up the sticky question of Harry’s attendance at the Platinum Jubilee.
Prince Harry Must Make a Choice
A year out from Megxit, many royal watchers are already starting to wonder about Harry: will he or won’t he attend his grandmother’s exceptional event? His presence is not required but it could be expected. Some royal watchers say this could cause problems for the man who would not be king.
That’s because Harry and his family are at odds, oh just because of things like him calling his dad, the queen, and her late husband, terrible parents.
If Harry has better things to do than attend the Jubilee it might be the final nail in his royal sarcophagus.

Will Prince Harry Do the Right Thing?
And if Harry and Meghan don’t go the media will likely eat it up. According to news.com.au, if Harry and Meghan fail to show up, “on the balcony for next year’s Trooping the Colour, all big smiles and Philip Treacy hats, their absence would overshadow the whole day and become the much juicier story. Platinum what? Queen who? For the Sussexes themselves, leaving the trans-Atlantic bond to fray even further and resolutely staying away is not an option.”

Harry should just be quiet and live the life he wants, why argue about everything?
The Queen and her loyal family and followers should do their thing. It will cheer many after this pandemic to enjoy her the Jubilee celebrations. She might wish Philip was there and Harry if things had been different. However the Queen is no fool Philip's was sick and is now at rest and Harry has chosen his own different life. So it best to just focus on happy celebrations concentrating on the positive. Harry should stay home and enjoy his new life and family. Harry has made it clear he doesn't like his old royal life so it's understandable it would only cause more trauma for Harry and everyone else to have him attend. He would just bring the party down.
