Royal Family News – Queen Elizabeth Had Her Platinum Jubilee This Year

According to royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti there was a good reason why the queen could not spend loads of time with the American-born youngster. He told Us Weekly, “She was working very hard to maintain her strength. I think it’s totally understandable that she was saving her energy as best she could for all the events that she wanted to be at if she possibly could.”

In fact, the 96-year old queen was seen on just two of the four days, owing to mobility issues and general “discomfort.”

The monarch met Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s daughter for the first time when the Sussex family visited England for the Platinum Jubilee, bringing along their 3-year old son Archie as well.

The Markle’s infamously fled the tragic kingdom two years ago and have been trash talking his family and the monarchy ever since. When they appeared on day two at St. Paul’s Cathedral, they were booed.

An insider told Us of the meet-up, Harry and Meghan visited the queen at Windsor Castle with Lilibet and Archie.” Due to the brevity of the meeting, speculation began that, “tensions are still high between Harry and his relatives, but Sacerdoti doesn’t think that’s the case.”

The royal expert told the outlet, “We’re talking about someone in their 90s and a baby.” He also noted that Her Majesty was not able to attend many of her own jubilee events. “We saw that she did manage to appear several times in public, and that’s great.”

Royal Family News – The Queen Has Mobility Issues

The queen made her Jubilee debut on June 2 at the Trooping the Colour parade. Afterward the palace announced she would miss the Service of Thanksgiving the next day, Friday June 3. “The Queen greatly enjoyed today’s Birthday Parade and flypast but did experience some discomfort,” Buckingham Palace told Us in a statement.

“Taking into account the journey and activity required to participate in tomorrow’s National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, Her Majesty with great reluctance has concluded that she will not attend.”
