According to the Daily Mail, Anne has almost a billion views under her name on the video sharing app, far exceeding younger female royals including Kate the Princess of Wales, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie (Meghan who?).

For one thing, Princess Anne’s fashion sense is celebrated on TikTok. There are literally hundreds of TikTok videos that showcase her attire, dating back to the 60s. One person noted, that Princess Anne “is her own woman, she was always very fashionable.”

History proves that sentiment correct as Anne featured on the cover of British Vogue three times and the current editor, Edward Enninful, said of her: “Princess Anne is a true style icon and was all about sustainable fashion before the rest of us really knew what that meant. She is timeless in her style, and she wears a tailored suit better than anyone else I can think of.”

The scary kidnapping attempt took place March 20, 1974, when crazed gunman Ian Ball fired five gunshots into the car carrying Anne and her then-husband Captain Phillips.

The Princess’s bodyguard, Anne’s chauffeur, a policeman, and a journalist were shot in the terrifying ordeal but Anne later recalled a “very irritating conversation” with the gunman. The Telegraph reported that she said, “It was all so infuriating. I kept saying that I didn’t want to get out of the car, and I was not going to get out of the car. I nearly lost my temper with him, but I knew that if I did, I should hit him, and he would shoot me.”
