Royal Family News – There Is A Stunning Connection Between Queen Elizabeth And Angelina Jolie
According to SCMP.com, Jolie is the queen’s 26th cousin through her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, whose family dates back to the 12th century French King Philip II.
Jolie is a tireless worker for humanitarian causes and she has shared information with British policy makers on ending sexual violence in conflict zones.
The queen was impressed enough with the “Maleficent” star that she accorded her a high honor. In 2014 she made Jolie the first American woman to be named a Dame. Technically only British citizens can have the honor but Jolie is an exception!
She said of the queen’s action, “To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to.”

At one point in time Jolie visited Buckingham Palace with her children and she was able to share some alone time with the queen. A palace spokesperson told to Marie Claire, “The audience itself between Ms. Jolie and the Queen was private. Her Majesty presented her with the insignia in its box.”
Queen Elizabeth and Angelina Jolie also shared a concern for conservation and were in the documentary “The Queen’s Green Planet” about forest conservation efforts in Africa.
The actress told W Magazine, “For us to come here and say to the children, ‘This is why it’s important to plant a tree,’ that’s the biggest message I can teach my kids, and it’s something that they’ve certainly learned from Her Majesty and her message.”
