As for her Spotify gig, doing 13 podcasts over the span of 2 ½ years doesn’t cut it. Adding to the Markle’s woes, their bid to trademark their brand name “Archetypes” was rejected last week. That was the vehicle that ran their Spotify podcasts yet “A spokesman for the talent agency WME that recently signed Meghan said: ‘The team behind Archetypes remain proud of the podcast they created at Spotify. Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform.”

Archetypes debuted last summer and Spotify reportedly paid the couple £18million for a “multi-year partnership.” But according to Variety magazine, the podcaster walked away due to a lack of work ethic on the Markles’ part: “it expected more content from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their Archewell Audio team.” It looks like WME has their work cut out for them, trying to find a place for Archetypes to land.
