This month Queen Consort Camilla welcomed sick children to Clarence House where they helped her to decorate her tree. The lucky kids were affiliated with two of her patronages, Helen & Douglas House and Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Once inside the opulent residence, the kids were able to pick out red-and-white decorations to hang on the tree branches. Some of the ornaments were little stockings and there was a plethora of angels.

This is the first Christmas for the family without their beloved Queen Elizabeth to preside over the festivities. Queen Elizabeth passed away at the age of 96 in September. According to Grant, the late monarch took, “a strict approach with her own Christmas trees.” And, she always thought of her young family members by leaving a bare tree for the kids to decorate.
