Royal Family News -The Markle’s Are Expecting A Baby Girl
The reason for the wonderment is that Harry and Meghan’s marriage is of mixed citizenship. Harry is British, and Meghan is American. Back in 2018 when they married, it was announced that Meghan intended to become a British citizen.
Who knows if that proposition is even on the table anymore given the way things have unfolded between the couple and the monarchy. At any rate, the process can take several years to complete and there has been no word on her current intentions other than that she reportedly wants to be the first US female President. Whatever.
The couple are living in California, and given her visible political ambition, the status of Meghan’s change of citizenship is a question mark. For one thing Meghan boasted that she voted in the 2020 presidential election, likely making her the first member of the British royal family to do so.

Royal Family News -Prince Harry Is Veddy British
Harry remains a British citizen and when they came to the US in 2020 sources told the Times that the Prince did not intend to apply for a green card or dual citizenship. By British law, British citizenship can be passed down one generation therefore any child of Harry’s can qualify as a British citizen.
The couple’s first child was born in the U.K. on May 6, 2019 and has dual citizenship. For all intents and purposes it seems likely that their second child will have the same status as Archie, being born in America and inheriting Harry’s British citizenship.

The Markle’s dropped a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey on March 7 and ever since the dirty laundry has lain in a steaming pile in the Cali sunshine.
This summer Harry is expected to attend several royal family events and royal watchers are speculating as to whether or not he will actually honor his commitments. He was not inclined to wave the olive branch during the interview and any visit from the ex-pat will be plenty newsworthy.
