Their parents took a different tack than in years past and decided to stay closer to home. Keep reading to find out what the Cambridge family has been up to!
The Cambridge Family Stayed Close To Home
Usually the family of five take a break abroad during the summer. This year they switched things up and stayed in the UK. One of the reasons for this may be that William and Kate have been busier than usual. In particular Kate will, “compete with SailGP’s GB team in Plymouth in a ‘Commonwealth Race’ against their New Zealand rivals.” The race is next week prior to the final day of
hrough the years. For the race she will become a member of the British crew. Her role involves helping the team to race the boat at, “speeds of up to 50 knots (more than 55 mph) in a friendly race,” according to Hello!
Kate Middleton Has A Busy Summer
When she is in Plymouth, Kate will visit the 1851 Trust. She is a patron of the Trust and will have the chance to meet some of the young people participating in the Trust’s activities to promote sustainability.
Staying close to home this summer could also be in anticipation of a move to Windsor. William, Kate and their three children are thought to be relocating from Kensington Palace for a quiet country life and in order to be closer to Queen Elizabeth.
As such George, Louis and Charlotte are expected to start at a new school in September.
Where In The World Are The Cambridges?
The family of five have not revealed the exact location of their summer vacation but William and Kate released a beachside photo of George who turned nine on Friday. George is as adorable as ever, pictured in a photo taken by Kate this month. George is a blue shirt and royal fans have commented on hos much he resembles his father Prince William at the same age.
