Royal Family News – Prince William Was Told Off

The year was 2016 and the annual event that year coincided with Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday. As is the custom, the royals in good standing gathered together on the Palace balcony, to watch the festivities below. They also wave to the commoners in the street and there is an airplane flyover.

During that particular occasion little Princess Charlotte made her first appearance on the balcony. She is the daughter of William and Kate, and her mother held her in her arms. At the same time Prince William was in charge of watching their three-year-old son Prince George. Keep in mind that the royals have all sorts of rules to follow, and so if William forgot one out of the many it should be forgiven.

But apparently the queen did not think so! That day Prince George was at the front of the royal group, pointing at the planes in the sky. Seeing his excitement, William bent down to speak to him. Nothing out of the ordinary, but that crouch was against palace protocol and the queen let him know it.

According to The Mirror, she said, “Stand up William,” to which he immediately stood and looked “sheepish.” My, my.

Due to Covid restrictions, Trooping the Colour was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, and in 2021 a scaled-back parade was held.

Royal Family News – A Royal Parade Is A Sight To See

The parade is scheduled to go on this year on June 2. It coincides with the queen’s Platinum Jubilee, an event that marks her 70 years as monarch. The day of the parade will kick off a four-day bank holiday to commemorate the glorious and rare occasion. This means that there will be four days of celebrations including festive public events and fun community activities, as well as national moments of reflection to reminisce about the queen’s 70 years of service to her country.
