Royal Family News: Will Harry And Meghan Make Peace With The Royals Before It’s Too Late?

British royal family news reveals that Harry and Meghan aka the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not exactly on the best of terms with the monarchy. Chalk it up to Megxit and a consistent verbal stream of rants and criticisms since their defection. The freedom seeking pair have made it known that they deserve an apology for all they had to endure while living rent free at the palace, waited on hand and foot and spending the taxpayer’s dime.

But a lot has changed since they deserted his family and left them in the lurch. Harry’s grandfather Prince Philip passed this April and now his grandmother Queen Elizabeth is ailing. Is there enough time left for the royal runaways to reconcile with his family before it’s too late?

Royal Family News – Queen Elizabeth Is 95-Years Old

According to one royal expert Harry and Meghan may be reconsidering their brash behavior given the queen’s health status.

Royal historian Ed Owens told Express.co.uk, “I imagine there will be some kind of reconciliation further down the road, so it just depends on how much longer the Queen’s reign lasts.”

The rest of the royal family have made it a point to support the Queen following her recent health woes. In October she was hospitalized overnight for an undisclosed condition. That necessitated her cancellation of a trip to Northern Ireland and since then she has cancelled additional events. For example she missed Remembrance Sunday due to what was described as a back sprain.

She was able however to attend last week’s dual baptism ceremony of her great grandson’s August and Lucas. On the horizon is her Platinum Jubilee. Next year her 70th year on the throne will be celebrated with much fanfare including a four day bank holiday. And before that there is the upcoming Christmas and New Year’s holidays. In other words there are lots of opportunities for the Sussex family to get their act together and visit the UK.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have yet to return to the UK together with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. Since Megxit Harry has been back twice but Meghan has chosen to remain with the rescue chickens. The question remains, will the queen be able to meet her namesake granddaughter in the near future?
