British royal family news shows that Queen Elizabeth broke royal protocol by announcing that she received the COIVD vaccination. Normally the United Kingdom royals are reticent to divulge much about matters of health so it was quite a breach.

But of course coronavirus is quite a life changer. It has been said that the public should not expect to be told when the queen receives the second dose, one breach of protocol was enough thank you very much!

“It will be really interesting to see, as this sort of trickles down to other groups, will we hear from Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall when they have their vaccination?” Scobie said.

“We could possibly have the cameras with the Cambridges much later in the year when younger people have access to the vaccine,” Scobie conjectured. “It will be interesting to see how this plays out.”

President-elect Joe Biden and vice president-elect Kamala Harris were given the first dose on live TV, in a bid to demonstrate its safety and encourage public participation. To date the American rollout rate has been abysmal with access an issue as well as reluctance to take the vaccine.

Royal Family News – Will The Cambridges Go Public With Their COVID Jab?

“When we first started talking about vaccines, we did some pieces at ABC just about public perception of them,” Rulli said. “I went out and spoke with some people, and just asking their opinion on the vaccine and if they would take it.”

She indicated a certain amount of resistance to taking the hastily rolled out jab and suggested that the Cambridges would encourage members of their generation to take the vaccine. Neither Kate and William are in a high priority group to receive the shot, as identified by the U.K.’s National Health Service.

“I was blown away by how many young people who said that they were cautious about the vaccine and didn’t feel comfortable taking it,” Rulli said. “Even as it trickles down, having the Cambridges step forward will also be a really powerful statement.”

Last November The Guardian reported that government officials and NHS execs were planning to recruit celebrities and influencers to receive the vaccine as a way of encouraging the public.

“NHS England are looking for famous faces, people who are known and loved. It could be celebrities who are very sensible and have done sensible stuff during the pandemic,” an insider told the newspaper.
