Royal family news shows that Buckingham Palace finally reacted to Prince Harry and his famous tell-all memoir. And specifically, the royal family has responded to the Duke of Sussex publishing private texts from Kate Middleton. However, Princess Kate herself stayed silent in terms of a public comment.
Find out how the Palace responded. And learn why Harry felt so strongly about publishing Kate’s personal texts. Plus: Discover how Meghan Markle once again played the role of a tearful victim below.
Royal Family Reacts To Princess Kate’s Private Texts Published In ‘Spare’
Because of its famous preference for privacy, the royal family keeps refusing to make lengthy comments about Prince Harry’s tell-all memoir Spare. But that doesn’t stop insiders from spilling to the media. And one source inside Buckingham Palace spilled some royal tea to Us magazine.
However, the Palace insider focused on Kate Middleton in particular. And the source shared that the royal family felt upset that Prince Harry published Princess Kate’s private text messages in his book. But the upset goes beyond the publication of those messages.
Buckingham Palace “does not love” seeing Kate’s private messages printed in Harry’s memoir, shared the source. And the royal family feels that Harry offered “just part of the story.” As a result, the Palace believes that the Duke of Sussex made an “egregious” error in publishing “these abbreviated excerpts.”
Prince Harry Obsesses Over Baggy Bridesmaid Frock Brouhaha
But on his side, the Duke of Sussex felt he made the right decision to publish the texts between his wife Meghan Markle and sister-in-law Kate Middleton. And that contrasts with the Palace’s view that Harry only revealed what he wanted to share. As a result, the royal family believes that Harry did not publish both sides of the story.
Because “clearly two sides” exist, the Palace pouted over the publication of the brouhaha over baggy bridesmaid frocks, shared one insider. But the Duke of Sussex “feels strongly it’s important to get the true account of what happened out there,” noted another source. And the result shows in the detailed tale of what supposedly happened between Kate, 40, and Meghan, 41, prior to Harry and Meghan tying the knot in May 2018 wedding.
However, the biggest brouhaha stemmed from Kate and Meghan arguing over Princess Charlotte‘s bridesmaid dress. And Princess Kate texted Meghan that the frock failed to fit her daughter. “Charlotte’s dress is too big, too long, too baggy,” wrote Kate to Meghan via Harry’s memoir. And Kate allegedly added, “She cried when she tried it on at home.”
Meghan Markle Plays Tearful Victim… Again!
But Meghan then responded, “Right, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8 am. Here. At KP. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?” And Kate then allegedly asked for changes to “all the dresses.” As a result, Princess Harry shared that his now-wife told Kate about her struggles over her father, Thomas Markle.
And the Duke of Sussex described Meghan crying over the bridesmaid argument. However, the book’s description follows Markle and Harry dishing on the dresses in their March 2021 CBS interview. And the Duchess of Sussex claimed that she never caused Kate to cry. “The reverse happened,” insisted Meghan, portraying herself once again as a pitifully tearful victim.
