Prince Harry and Meghan Markle promised fans a solid “love story”, with a side story of why they had such a disastrous falling away with the Royal Family. Of course, fans expected some scars on the body of several members of the Royal Family when it’ll be over and Royal commentators predicted that the couple will definitely be settling some scores. Needless to say, the Royal Family braced themselves for the impact.
However, it turned out that, apart from rehashing old stories and giving fans an indepth look into their romantic journey, not many “bombs” or otherwise were dropped.
And for this, the Royal Family is reportedly “breathing a sigh of relief”, according to Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti. But should they be doing so already? I mean, we’re only a few days away from Vol. 2 of the docuseries.
Royal Expert Claims Netflix’s “Harry and Meghan” Didn’t Carry Any “Explosive Gossips”
All most people saw in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries was a 41-year-old woman mocking her husband’s now-late grandmother and a man looking uncomfortable, but nevertheless allowing the circus to continue.
It was an eye-opening moment for many people around the world and it was like a fall from grace for the Sussex couple. They were no longer seen as victims, but as bullies.
In general, it didn’t rock the monarchy as some predicted it would.
According to royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti, there wasn’t much worrying content from Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries so far. “I don’t think there was very much in there that was particularly new or that will have worried them too much.” He added that the family is “breathing a sigh of relief on that front.”
One of the parts of the docuseries that might come close to being a serve was when Meghan Markle revealed why she couldn’t invite her niece Ashleigh to the wedding.
“I think that if anyone was watching it for explosive gossip about the royal family, they would’ve been sorely disappointed,” Sacerdoti said. “I found one bit where she talked about her niece quite interesting, the idea that she had this very close relationship with her niece. And in fact, this was [the] one person from her father’s family who was actually interviewed in the whole piece.”
Harry then taking a weak shot at his family, said: “For so many people in the family, especially obviously the men, there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mold, as opposed to somebody who you are perhaps destined to be with. The difference between making decisions with your head or your heart.”
