Royal Family Won’t Accept Meghan Markle’s Latest Peace Offering For This Reason

Meghan Markle is reportedly looking forward to mending rift with the Royal Family, but after years of slanderous accusations, anyone can guess it won’t be easy.

Progress was said to be made around the time King Charles and Princess Kate suffered a double cancer diagnosis, but things quickly turned sour just a mere few months on.

Now, with the Sussexes restraining themselves from sharing harmful gossips about the Royal Family, will the peace that’s been sought for a long time finally be achieved?

Meghan Markle’s Gift Basket Won’t Mend Royal Rift, Expert Says

Meghan Markle’s As Ever brand launched to a clearly positive reception from fans, seeing that it sold out its first offerings in under an hour.

Though there were some complaints about the jam’s texture and pricing, I think the team behind As Ever would likely be patting themselves in the back for that marvelous performance.

Despite not gifting the royal family anything from her range pre-launch – 50 friends and influencers received gift baskets of jams and lemons at the time – reports are suggesting that she sent a hamper to Clarence House, King Charles’ preferred official residence. Amongst the items in the gift basket are jams, honey, and crêpes mix.

Royal correspondent Neil Sean confirmed the receipt of this items, saying, “a sample box of delights from As Ever has been delivered to Clarence House with a note.”

“An As Ever gift box [was sent], which included the… jams, honey, crêpes mix and various assortments, according to a very well-placed source.”

“This was a gifted idea from… the Duchess of Sussex.”

However, royal expert Russell Myers isn’t sure that the King would be swooning over a few treats after he has endured years of stinging attacks from the Sussexes.

“In terms of… peace offerings, I don’t think we’re there yet,” Myers told Sky News Australia. “I’m not sure a hamper full of jam and biscuits and crepes will smooth over relations.”
