Meghan Markle is now on her maternity leave, but that hasn’t stopped people from still talking about her pregnancy. According to Vanity Fair, many royal watchers believe that she’s not only having a baby girl, but that she and Harry might name the little bundle of joy Diana, after Harry’s mother Princess Diana.
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams says that while the company is still taking bets on gender, all signs point that Harry and Meghan will be seeing a lot of pink in the coming weeks.
Adams told Vanity Fair in an interview, “We’re still taking bets on gender but it’s quite a random one. Currently as it stands, we are 8-11 a girl, even money a boy. So, you know, the betting is suggesting there’s a great, great chance that it’s a girl.”
And while Diana is a frontrunner for names, there are some other ones that have cracked the Top 5 of potential girl names. They include Victoria (Queen Victoria was Prince Harry’s great-great-great-grandmother), Alice, Isabella, Alexandra, and even Grace. Should the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a boy, there’s a strong chance they might name the little tot Arthur, Edward, Philip, and James.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any additional comments about Meghan Markle’s pregnancy, however, the Duchess did state that she is due during the last week of April.
