Royals News: Camilla’s Annual Christmas Party, Terminally Ill Children Met Real Reindeer

Camila Parker Bowles, Duchess of Cornwall hosted an annual Christmas party for terminally ill children at her home and it sounds like it was an incredible event. There was food, decorating the Christmas tree and two of Santa’s reindeer even made the long trip from the North Pole for the guests. Charity Work

Camila is a patron of two important organizations. One is Helen & Douglas House, which helps care for terminally ill children and their families. They provide services to those in Oxfordshire and nearby counties by helping with various types of assistance. This includes practical, medical and emotional support.

The other organization is Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. It supports a network of over 70 specialist nurses across the United Kingdom.

Royal Christmas Party Details

The annual holiday event provided a midday meal of sausages and mash. The children were able to help decorate the Christmas tree and got to meet Captain Ross of the Welsh Guards.

However, that isn’t all. This year, Camila went all out and brought a few visitors from up north, which turned out to be a special treat for everyone!

Terminally Ill Children Get Visit From Santa’s Reindeer

Two of Santa’s reindeer made the long trip from the North Pole to meet some very special children. They had harnesses that identified them as Blitzen and Dancer. The children were also given the opportunity to take turns feeding the festive animals.

Camila Parker Bowles Thankful

The 72-year-old wife of Prince Charles said a special thank you to those in attendance, People reported. She understood that it was not easy for everyone to be there, but she was filled with gratitude that they came.

“I want to thank all of you — the parents, the nurses, the carers and most of all these wonderful children. I know sometimes it is probably not easy, but to see [the children] all here today looking so happy is a real treat for me.”

It is indeed true that serving others is a priceless gift. Thanks to Camila going the extra mile with this Christmas event, the children were full of smiles and cheer. This will likely be a party they will never forget.
