Royals News: Donald Trump Returned to Buckingham Palace, But Meghan Markle Missing – Other Obligations or Political Stance?

President Donald Trump arrived at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. However, Meghan Markle was not there. The president was in attendance for the big two-day NATO event in which he was one of the guests. Now, the public is divided over whether she simply had other obligations or if it was a political stance.

On Tuesday, many of the world’s leaders arrived at Buckingham Palace for a two-day NATO summit. The event was hosted by Queen Elizabeth II, according to People magazine. While it is one of the Royal family’s biggest events on their calendar this year, not everyone was in attendance.

Royals news confirms that Trump, along with other world leaders were greeted by the queen, as well as Kate Middleton. It was also reported that Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall were in attendance. However, there were some members of the Royal family missing.

Royals News: Meghan Markle Missing

Three Royal family members were not there, including Meghan Markle. Also, Prince Harry and Prince William were also not at the NATO event. As for Prince William, he was on a four-day tour of Oman and Kuwait. When it comes to Princes Harry and Meghan, they didn’t show up for personal reasons.

Other Obligations or Political Stance?

While everyone, including members of the Royal family have strong opinions when it comes to politics, this was not the reason Markle was not there. She and Princess Harry were already on a six-week leave of absence from their royal duties. They are spending quality time with their young son.

It is also suggested that they might be using this time to visit Markle’s family in the United States, as the past two Christmas holidays were spent in the UK. It is doubtful their absence has anything to do with political reasons due to the fact it was announced a long time ago they would be taking time off toward the end of the year.
