Royals News: Prince Charles Reportedly Told Prince Andrew There’s No Way Back After Epstein Scandal

Prince Charles has reportedly told Prince Andrew that there is no way back. It comes after a BBC interview that discussed the relationship between the member of the royal family and registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. As the public is well aware, the multimillionaire businessman died in an apparent suicide.

Stepping Back From Royal Duties

Following the big reveal during a BBC interview, which shocked people around the world, Andrew has reportedly stepped back from his royal duties. He approached Her Majesty with the suggestion and due to the extreme circumstances and harsh media backlash, it was accepted.

According to The Telegraph, Andrew issued a statement on the issue,

“It has become clear to me over the last few days that the circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work and the valuable work going on in the many organizations and charities that I am proud to support.”

Prince Charles was allegedly instrumental in getting his brother to step away from the royal spotlight. After all, the Royals are committed to upholding a certain standard of behavior and any negative press affects them deeply. The whole Epstein scandal involving Andrew has been one major mess for the Royal family.

An insider told the news outlet that Philip, Charles and Andrew are all taking part in organized crisis talks. A source said that the meeting was incredibly tense and consequences had to be doled out.

Prince Philip Sympathetic, But Harsh

Philip reportedly told Andrew that he had to take his punishment. While sympathetic, he was also stern, firm and harsh when dealing with Andrew. Charles ended informing his brother that there is no way back from this.

“‘It was all very civilized, but Charles calmly read him the riot act… Andrew thought he was being treated harshly as nothing has yet been proved against him, but he accepted the decision.”

It was added that no matter how sympathetic loved ones are about the situation, the focus in on the royal family. He doesn’t like trial by media, they have a reputation to uphold and Andrew’s behavior threatened the very fabric of the royal family.
