Sarah Ferguson Not Backing Down In Her Support Of Ex-Husband Prince Andrew

Sarah Ferguson is no stranger when it comes to speaking up for her ex-husband, who she insists is a kind and generous man, on top of being a loving and caring father for their daughters.

As the Duke of York tries to rebuild his life after the disgrace of Virginia Giuffre’s accusations, his ex-wife Fergie is ringing in praise for him.

Well, it seems that not everybody is keen on cancelling Andrew these days. Despite the accusations levelled against him, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson – who he shares two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, with – is not backing down from describing him as a compassionate man.

On Monday, the Duke was banned from appearing at the Queen’s Order of the Garter Service over fears of incurring public backlash.

As chances of Andrew returning to public life keeps slimming, Sarah is reaffirming that she will always stand by her ex-husband. “I will stand very firmly by Andrew who is a very good and kind man,” she told Times Radio. “And that’s what I believe. We are divorced.”

Following Virginia Giuffre’s sexual assault allegations against the Duke, Andrew stepped down from royal duties. As heat of the case intensified, Andrew was also forced to delete his official social media accounts.

However, he once used his wife’s account to post – and then delete – an account of his role in the Falklands war. He also recalled the time he was hit during the war, which he called a “failure”, adding that we need to understand each other’s perspective in order to preserve peace.

The couple officially split in 1996 but have remained close since then, in part due to their daughters, who are now happily married with children.

Sarah is also known to take up residence at Andrew’s Windsor home, and continues to frequent the grounds on a regular basis.

She claims that the primary reason she wants to keep the York family together is to please the Queen.
