In case you missed it, Meghan told The Cut that someone from the production told her on the red carpet, “I just need you to know: ‘When you married into this family, we rejoiced in the streets the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison.’” Needless to say the backlash was swift and salty. Meghan, hoist with her own petard, who would have thunk?

Yesterday the movie’s only South African actor rebuked Meghan’s outlandish claim, telling MailOnline he was “baffled” by her suggestion. Today the show’s composer, who met the Duchess of Sussex at the premiere in London, “insisted he can’t remember speaking to her about Nelson Mandela.”
Lebohang Morake took the time to settle the record, and distance himself from the Markle toxicity by declaring he was in the presence of the, Duke and Duchess of Sussex for mere seconds in 2019.
To set the record straight, he is the third preeminent person calling BS on MM. The first was the only South African cast member John Kani who, “denied it was he who made the controversial remarks. And Nelson Mandela’s grandson also slammed Meghan saying the release of his freedom-fighting grandfather after 27 years in jail for his beliefs did not ‘equate’ with her marrying a prince.”

Is Meghan Markle Living On Planet Earth?
Today Morake told MailOnline: “I’m the only South African directly associated with both The Lion King films and the Broadway productions.”
Video exists of him talking to the thirsty pair with Harry talking about Africa and Malawi. Nowhere does it appear Meghan is feted for being a modern day Mandela.
Instead, Morake says, “It’s an honor to meet you. Everyone in South Africa’s heard of Meghan Markle.” He didn’t say if that was good or bad, but now the context seems clear.

Furthermore, Morake, stated his disbelief that Meghan is of ANY significance to South Africa: “As a South African, I’m not sure if this is important to most of us facing serious domestic issues. I’d like to not be dragged into this issue from three years ago either way.”
Based on Meghan’s toxic mouth, it’s gotten to the point that some are suggesting her PR team has it in for her—either that or they’re plain incompetent, take your pick.
