Prince Harry has been urged to step down from Invictus Games ten years after he originally launched the competition event for veterans. The games was founded as a way to aid the rehabilitation and mental recovery of wounded and sick servicemembers and veterans.
At the moment, he’s getting ready to fly back to the UK to celebrate its milestone anniversary, but royalists think something should change about the competition’s management.
Fans Want Prince Harry To Step Down From Invictus Games
Since its founding, Invictus Games has managed to grow each year with more countries now able to compete. However, fans still fear for its fate with Harry at the helm.
The Royal Family, on the other hand, saw a major reshuffle following the cancer diagnosis of two of its most senior members.
Mere days after returning to his public-facing duties, it was announced that King Charles has added 300 more patronages to his belt, even though he dropped 74 of his own charities in the reshuffle.
The reshuffle also saw the dropping of over 200 charities as the Palace reassessed its affiliations to over a thousand charitable organizations.
Princess Kate was not left out of this reshuffle, as she was granted a new title – a royal first in fact – as she continues to undergo her chemotherapy treatments. A few days ago, she became the very first Royal Companion to be named to the Order of the Companions of Honour. This was done to honor her work ethics and for “taking on more responsibilities.”
Prince William received the title of the Great Master of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath – a role previously held by Charles before his accession.
Queen Camilla also received the title of Grand Master and First or Principal Dame Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
In light of this reshuffling, estranged members of the Royal Family are reportedly facing pressures to relinquish their titles.
As a result of this, Harry has been urged to step down from Invictus Games by royal fans, who believe the games have lost their meaning since it was first founded by Prince William and Kate Middleton’s then-joint foundation with Harry.
