Suits Spoilers: Show Will Address Meghan Markle’s Absence In Series Finale

Suits Spoilers: Meghan MarkleBack in May, the USA Network has confirmed that the legal drama “Suits” will end with its ninth season. The show’s final season is expected to feature cast regulars like Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty) and Alex Williams (Dule Hill).

But what about Rachel Zane (Meghan Markle)? How will the show explain the absence of the character in its last and final season? Viewers may recall that Markle left the show back in season seven when she married Prince William and became a Duchess. Fortunately, Patrick J. Adams, whose character was married to Rachel Zane, shed some light on this matter.

During the final season of “Suits,” Adams is expected to make a reappearance, albeit briefly, to bring viewers some closure.

Suits Spoilers – Patrick J Adams Is Scheduled To Appear Mid-Season

“For Mike this is just a trip to New York. There’s phone calls with Rachel saying ‘goodbye’ and ‘I love you’,” Adams told Entertainment Tonight. “I think there’s some acknowledgment that she’s still there and part of the show, and this is just a way for him to come see his friends one last time.”

Viewers can expect to see Adams mid-season, when he gets involved in a case that will pave the way for him to see his mentor Harvey for the last time. Adams announced the news on his Instagram account.

“Go time. Very excited to head back into the fray one last time. Thanks to the fans for keeping the flame alive and to Mr. Aaron Korsh for welcoming me back.”

Suits Spoilers – Final Season Will Focus On New Changes And Problems

“Suits” Season 9 is slated to premiere on July 17. The final season will focus on the new changes and problems faced by Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams after Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) makes a heroic gesture to save Harvey by taking the fall with the Bar Association.

As Harvey offers his support to Samantha after losing her mentor, he comes to the realization that he doesn’t want to lose Donna Paulsen (Sarah Rafferty). The remaining characters come together to do whatever they can to save the firm, whose reputation has been tarnished yet again.

The first season of “Suits” had 12 episodes. Seasons 2 to season 8 each had 16 episodes. Season 9 will have a total of 10 episodes.
