There’s a charity fighting for the rights and protection of people of Asian backgrounds against gang violence and the Cambridges are showing their support for the charity.

To bring interest and promote the charity, Prince William and Kate will take part in a cooking lesson with youths as part of the charity’s Global Grub program. It was started during the summer holidays to improve young people’s creativity outside of school and make sure they can get frequent hot meals.

They will also meet and talk to young volunteers who lead teaching sessions in order to figure out the techniques they use to help young people to resolve conflicting situations, challenge stereotypes and contribute to the positive growth of the society.

Aik Saath was founded in response to gang violence, to settle disputes between young people of Hindu, Muslim and Sikh background that’s been going on for years since the 1990s. The communities it serves include Slough in Berkshire and Southall in West London.
