The Real Reason Cressida Bonas Didn’t Marry Prince Harry

Prior to his marriage to Meghan Markle, Prince Harry dated a string of fashionable and high-profile women including actress Cressida Bonas who recently spoke about their relationship.

Interestingly enough, the accomplished blonde said that “fears” kept her from joining the royal family.

Harry and Cressida met in 2012 and announced an amicable split in 2014. She was in attendance at his 2018 nuptials with Meghan.

In a rare interview with The Daily Telegraph, Cressida Bonas dished about her royal split.

The blonde inferred that she had a lot of fears around becoming a member of the royal family which may have led to the end of her and Harry’s relationship.

“The fear of failing, the fear of rejection, the fear of not getting it right, the fear of not being perfect…I think that has limited me in certain situations in my life,” she said.

Does she look back with regret at the past? “I just think it has definitely given me a stronger sense of purpose and a stronger sense of what I want or don’t want,” she said.

What Is Cressida Bonas Doing Now?

At this point in time Cressida is building her acting career, and she is in a new show, White House Farm.

In describing the show and where her priorities are now, she said, “I think that I work very, very hard, I love what I do, and I just hope that this role has shown people what I can do and what I would like to do going forward and not be caught in a box in any way.”

If there are any hard feelings or regrets on her part in regard to her relationship with Harry, they are not evident. She seems happy and balanced, devoted to her career and excited to see where it might go.  As a testament to their relationship now, she was invited to Harry’s wedding and attended.

As for Harry he is now an ocean away, forging a new identity and career on American soil. He is focused on building a family and a brand.

Since Megxit he has come under a spotlight for his unprecedented actions and endured harsh criticism about how he handled his departure from his country and family.

Hopefully he too will one day know the focus, peace and excitement that Cressida clearly possesses about the future.
