The Royal Family Continues To Ease The Rules For Camilla Parker Bowles
According to Express.co.uk, Camilla Parker Bowles is allowed to wear heels while out and about during her royal engagements and public appearances. This was something that Princess Diana was never allowed to do, especially when she was photographed next to Prince Charles. As a matter of fact, the Princess of Wales only began wearing heels after her separation from her husband.
One of the reasons why Camilla is allowed to wear heels but Princess Diana wasn’t is because of their height. At 5 foot 8, Camilla is only a tad bit shorter than the future King of England while Princess Diana was 5 foot 10. Apparently, the royal family didn’t want Princess Diana to look like she was towering over her husband during their photo ops together. That was why she was banned from wearing heels around him. Camilla, meanwhile, last wore lower block heels with Prince Charles during French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to London earlier this month.

Fashionistas have also noted that Princess Diana never wore Chanel, which is Camilla Parker Bowles’ beloved brand. In fact, Diana went out of her way to make sure that she would never be photographed in anything with a Chanel label, especially after she found out about Prince Charles and Camilla’s secret affair. The Duchess of Cornwall still wears Chanel to this day, regardless of what anyone has to say about it.
