Honoring his memory on the occasion of his centennial birth anniversary, the Queen, Prince Charles, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge all took to their respective social media accounts sharing their birthday messages for the Duke of Edinburgh, who passed away at the age of 99 in April.

The royal family Instagram account shared new photos of the queen receiving a special shrub rose – planted in the East Terrace Garden of Windsor Castle- that was named in honor of her late husband, gifted to her by the Royal Horticultural Society.

The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge As Well As Prince Charles Shared Tributes Of Their Own

Prince William and Duchess Kate also shared images of Queen Elizabeth II admiring her new rose bushes, with the caption, “Remembering His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, on what would have been his 100th birthday.”

Prince Charles shared two throwback images of his father, one being a black-and-white snap of a toddler Charles holding hands with his father upon his return from a trip to Malta.

Royal Family News – Prince Philip Tributes

Other tributes include one from Princess Eugenie who posted a sweet photo featuring both her grandparents, with the caption, “Thinking of Grandpa on what would have been his 100th birthday.”

Eugenie had previously honored her grandfather naming her first-born son whom she welcomed in February, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, after the late Duke.

Her son with husband Jack Brooksbank was born shortly before Philip spent weeks in the hospital for heart surgery. He was discharged in March but passed away on April 9 at Windsor Castle.
