For the second year in a row, the Princess of Wales will be hosting a Christmas carol service. While last year’s program was about celebrating the joy of being together again following the Coronavirus lockdowns, this year’s service will be dedicated to honoring the Queen.
Fresh New Details About the Princess Of Wales’ Christmas Carol
On December 15, the Princess of Wales will be joined by members of the British public, heads of charities, and several members of the Royal Family for her second Christmas service.
According to royal experts, the event could be “overshadowed” by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries vol. 2 dropping on that same day.
However, even though the event is set to be recorded on December 15, it will be broadcast by ITV on Christmas Eve.
So far, fans have been given a chance to somehow contribute to the event by being asked to vote on the song they want the poignant evening to end with. Out of the three songs suggested, fans picked “O Come All Ye Faithful”.
Another development is that King Charles and Queen Camilla will be gracing the event, alongside several other members of the Royal Family.
Royal commentators are seeing the move as the Royal Family putting on a united front against the claims likely to be dropped in Harry and Meghan’s bombshell Netflix series.
Kensington Palace also released a statement explaining that this year’s service will be dedicated to the late Queen Elizabeth. The service is also expected to showcase “the values Her Majesty demonstrated throughout her life, including duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, compassion and support for others”.
The news is coming on the heels of William and Kate’s official social media channels releasing exclusive behind-the-scenes images of the couple from the Earthshot Prize awards, which took place in Boston last week.
Keeping with the light of the season, Queen Camilla, along with several members of the Royal Family, highlighted the work done by charities close to their hearts in this month’s Good Housekeeping.
