On Wednesday, January 17 Kensington Palace announced that the future queen had undergone a “planned abdominal surgery” at The London Clinic.
The palace did not name or describe the surgery, leaving royal fans to wonder and worry about the woman who has in many ways become the face of the modern monarchy.
The palace announcement stated that Kate “will remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days, before returning home to continue her recovery” with updates on her progress coming “when there is significant new information to share.”
