With everyone in the UK seemingly in uproar over the fact that Prince William did not fly to Australia to cheer on Team England in the Women’s World Cup final, there is a very good reason why he didn’t go. That’s because it has to do with royal protocol. But unfortunately, the royal family has not done anything to clarify why the Prince of Wales stayed home but instead allowed internet users to speculate and criticize William for a trip that he technically could not go on, even if he wanted to. While the internet couldn’t help but criticize Prince William non stop for not traveling to the World Cup to support Team England during the Women’s World Cup finals, there was one report that provided a little clarification on the matter. Apparentl

y, King Charles, who also happens to be the King of Australia, is yet to visit the country Down Under. That’s because the Australian government has not invited him. But because Prince William is his father’s heir, he has to wait until King Charles makes the trip before he can.

Plus, it was also noted that Australian taxpayers would be the ones who would have to pay his security costs.

You would think that the royal family would just provide a simple answer as to why Prince William didn’t go, but they didn’t do that. But then again, the royals are the kind of people who don’t explain and they certainly don’t complain. They just get on with it.

Unfortunately, Team England did not get the result that they wanted as they came up short against Spain and lost 1-0 in the final. The moment must have been a glorious one for the Spanish, as both Queen Letizia and her daughter Princess Sophia were there to celebrate the victory with the team.

We are also sure that Prince William did watch the match at home with his wife, Kate Middleton, and their three children. If they couldn’t be there in person, they were there in spirit.
